Events and Functions
Corporate incentive group planners choose Bougainvillea House for several reasons. The exclusive, intimate, private, and personal beachfront experience offers an exciting change of scenery. There are spectacular and romantic, ocean, sunset, and moonrise views on each of the three different deck levels. Various ceremony, reception, dining, and entertainment configurations are possible using the beach, sky deck, and main deck. The property can also be used for less formal corporate functions such as barbecues, picnics, or lobster bakes. There is no curfew at the property, which allows for unrestricted, dining and entertainment programs, including fireworks. The proximity to The Four Seasons Resort (15 minutes) which allows for varying guest schedules and timely program recovery. Two separate sound systems provide tropical background music on the "Sky Deck" and main deck which adds to the ambience. A lighting system has been installed including low level lighting for the decks as well as floodlights for the beach. The availability of 3 separate kitchens, and 9 separate washrooms for various group sizes. A consistent and proven history of event production and performance has been demonstrated by your hosts. We have a proven relationship of cooperation with our resort, destination Management Company, and planning colleagues. The cost of the venue generally represents less than ten percent (10%) of the overall cost of most programs. Cacique International is a professional Bahamian destination Management Company (DMC) with extensive experience producing programs at Bougainvillea House for various group sizes.
   The house, which is located on Great Exuma Island, in the Bahamas, consists of two separate beachfront rental units, comprised of four bedrooms and one suite in the North Villa with a total of 2200 square feet of living space; and one bedroom and one suite in the South Villa, with 1800 square feet. The house was completed in 2003 and features a separate cottage that has one bedroom and one suite. Eight thousand (8000) square feet of outside decks were added, as well as two additional levels, including an 1800 square foot rooftop “Sky Deck”.
   Begin with cocktails on the "Sky Deck" with live music, just in time to watch the sunset, and then the party moves to the main dining deck for either a buffet style or plated dining experience, while live entertainers provide background music for the function. Fire dancers, limbo dancers, Cuban cigar rollers, straw market vendors, and Cuban salsa dancers crank up the adrenalin one notch as the moon rises over the islands to the east. The waves can be heard in the background on the beach just a stone’s throw away, and the gentle ocean breezes cast a spell over the festivities. A surprise arrival of 25 Junkanoo band members in brightly colored costumes, beating a tribal beat on huge bass drums, sends confusion and chaos throughout the party. As the Junkanoo kicks into full gear, a massive commercial fireworks display that has been hidden from the guests; suddenly cranks the heat up beyond the red zone. The experience is beyond memorable and never fails to impress even the most well traveled guests.
   The house is primarily used for deluxe, weekly, family vacation rentals and is also used for group function rentals, such as The Four Seasons Resort incentive travel clients. Over one hundred functions have been completed since opening in November of 2003 with groups ranging in size from as small as 18 to as large as 280. The house features a 2000 square foot main deck, stairs to the mid and upper decks, and stairs to the beach; as well as a catering area and a stage. In 2004, the property was commercially landscaped to a resort standard, a stone entrance court was added, and the property was repainted. Various maintenance and improvement projects are always underway at any given time.

Weddings
Over a dozen weddings have been completed at Bougainvillea House. Brides, grooms, and wedding planners are attracted to Bougainvillea House for several reasons. The intimate and private venue ensures that important and personal family moments are shared only with invited guests. Various ceremony, reception, dining, and entertainment configurations are possible using the beach, sky deck and main deck. There is an availability of the Villa for single day functions or use of the house for week long programs.
